한국어로는 모두 "다른"이지만, 영어는 한정·단복수·추가/대체로 갈린다

5가지 형태로 갈리는 "다른"

•the other (N) = 하나 남은 다른 것 (한정·단수): One is a boy. The other is a girl.
•the others / the other Ns = 남은 것들 전부 (한정·복수): One is a girl. The others are boys.
•another (N) = 또 하나 / 하나 더 (막연·단수, 추가): May I have another bowl of rice?
•others / other Ns = 막연하게 다른 것들: Don't tell others. / Other people like music.
•some other (N) / some other Ns = 그거 말고 다른 뭔가(들) — 대체: Let's go to some other bar.
•핵심 비교: another = 추가 vs some other = 대체
•Some ~ . Others ~ . 짝 표현으로 그룹 둘로 나누기
•one / ones는 같은 명사 반복 대신 쓰는 대명사 (Which hat? — The brown one)

⚠️ 한정사 주의

명사 앞엔 a/an, the, other, 's 중 하나 와야 함

• 's = ~의 (소유)

막연한 그룹을 둘로 나눠서 비교할 때 쓰는 짝 표현

하나 남은 다른 것 (한정·단수)

I have two children. One is a boy. The other is a girl.
난 애들이 둘 있어요. 하나는 남자애, 또 하난 딸이죠.
